Primary school students face specific challenges as they develop towards adolescence. Children are bombarded with messages from the media, family, school and peers – how can they interpret these messages and make informed choices about issues which will affect their life?
Values For Life School Seminars provide a powerful values-based program to assist students in their social and emotional development. The seminars are designed to help students think about and question issues and values in today’s culture in a relevant, exciting, reflective learning experience. If you wish to see a list of the topics that are currently offered for primary students, please click here - and keep in mind that topics can be tailored to fit your school's specific needs.
We have several resources available that you can use in your classroom to supplement the seminar experience, including a primary school CD - 'to belong' - featuring original music that is used during the seminars.
The seminar durations we offer vary from:
- 45 minutes (for grade prep.)
- 60 minutes (for grades prep. to 3) to
- 90 minutes (for grades 4 to 6).
